2023のなつやすみ

こんにちはみなさん!私のなつやすみ was both calm and exciting!
During6月, I got to celebrate a few "Festas Junina" with my friends. This is a party from the Brazilian culture, where people have fun with national dances, such as the Quadrilha, eat national food, such as quindin, and pão de queijo, and play games, like fishing.

This is from my senior year in high school, whereas my friends and I danced to the Quadrilha. Usually, upperclassman from the school, such as seniors in high school and nine graders in middle school are the ones who dance to it.

On 7月, I really tried to enjoy as much of my last days at my home, as I would be soon heading to America. Besides spending much time with my family, we visited one of Brazil's most catholic cities, Aparecida. There it is located the Nossa Senhora Aparecida's Sanctuary, a beautiful place that honors Nossa Senhora Aparecida.  For further understanding, I strongly believe that what she represents to Brazilians is the same of what Lady Lourdes represents to Americans. And after my college applications' process my faith in her just grew stronger.
Little story time: when my parents and I were creating my college list, ND was a hard reach for me. Regardless, because it was my top choice, I promised that if I were admitted, my family and I would visit the sanctuary. Thankfully and gracefully, after my admission, my parents and I visited it.

Alongside the trip, in the end of7月, I threw a party at my house to celebrate both, my farewell to America and my nineteenth birthday that would be in the middle of August. It was such an amazing night! I got to meet longtime friends, including those I hadn't seen in a while, and invite new ones.

And this was how I spent my なつやすみ!
Although there were many memorable and incredible moments, I can't wait to have my ND experience and enjoy everything it has to offer!

さよなら!:)
